What is the first thing you think of when you buy your first property?
The first thing that came to mind for me was how I was going to make it a home. My own space. My own choice of colours. My own décor. My blank canvas.
So, the first thing I did was create a Pinterest board and filled it with all the decorating ideas and affordable tips I could use to make my place a home! I called the board “Tanya’s Castle Ideas”.
With all the main appliances bought, I was ready to furnish my freshly painted abode with all the various ideas I had saved to my Pinterest board. But as soon as I attempted to start for filling these Pinterest dreams, I found that what I wanted was nowhere to be found, online or in the shops. And when I actually did, the price of the item was way over my budget. I was not willing to compromise, but I was also not getting a salary increase anytime soon.
